kokomoseven
Hello mates, I have been in Phuket for a couple of months and it's time for me to start planning a visa run. I was awarded a non-o one year multiple entry and received a 90 day stamp when I arrived in BKK from ICN. I want to make the quickest and most affordable visa run possible. I have done countless research and have asked many people around and I continue to get different answers. I would ideally like to do a day run to Ranong. I have heard that: 1. Ranong only gives you a 30 day stamp. 2. Ranong only gives you a 15 day stamp. 3. Ranong CAN give you a 90 day stamp. I need to get a new 90 day stamp. Can I get some clarification please from your recent experiences? Is there an OFFICIAL source of visa re-entry allowances at entry points? Basically I don't want to be left high and dry with a insufficient visa. Thanks 'mates! PK

lopburi3
As long as you have a valid visa, enter another country and return you should obtain a 90 day permitted to stay stamp.

CharlieH
The 15 day refers to land border entry, 30 days is arrival by Air, both are visa exempt entries ( no visa), if you have a valid Non O then it would be 90 days at any border. Other types of visa, tourist as an example, would provide 60 days.
oldsailor35
I have non imm 'O' and have done several visa runs to Ranong for 90 day stamp. there are 2 ways to go. 1) Get the longtail (open boat) from Ranong to Kawthaung and return, must have a new $US10 note plus boat fee. 2) Get the cruiser from the Club Anderman jetty for return journey to Myanmar immigration and back. No $US10 needed but its about bht700 for boat journey, The cruiser to Club Anderman is a little dearer but not much. There is also the option of overnight stay at their hotel/casino. Another advantage is that you are not sitting in the open elements for over an hour each way as you will be in the longtail.. Club Anderman is on an island inside Myanmar territory, their jetty is just on the northern side of Ranong. When i was there at christmas there were several Mini bus Day visa runs from Phuket. This is the one i prefer from Koh Samui. Edited March 6, 2012 by oldsailor35
seabear
Got 90 days on 25th of Feb. (till 24 May) Longtailboat 600 THB, for 3 Pax, 2 ways. My wife came along. Checked out of Thailand with her Thai passport. The Burmese charged her 10 US$. If she would have checked out with her ID, would have cost 30 THB. Have done this trip many times. Sometimes I spend a night in Ko Song ((kaow Thoung ?) Honey Bear Hotel, crappy, 800THB Sometimes in Tinidee.(Ranong) OK Hotel, Restaurant, forget it. Sometimes up the vally, at the Hot springs. Good fun,
Soboringtochooseaname
Can you tell if a non-o multiple entry visa is enough to go out of the country and come back or if a re-entry permit is needed ? I mean, when someone has a multi entry non immigrant O can he just cross a border and come back right away every 90 days ? Thanks.
