Kingfisher have been suspended from IATA who clear the money with shared airlines. Some airlines have also cancelled this agreement with Kingfisher. THey seem to be lurching from one crisis to another, I would be very careful about booking with them until a resolution is found. There is a report on the BBC/business page today about the airline, does not make good reading.

the guy that owns Kingfisher also owns Whyte & McKay whisky in Scotland, he is trying to dispose of a 49% share of the company to raise funds.......the whole Kingfisher group is in trouble

The end is near. This suspension is a big deal.

Being suspended from BSP/CASS means an agent cannot sell them. Retail agents, tour operators, wholesalers & consolidators are dependant on using BSP to pay the airline.

Furthermore their bank accounts have been frozen.

If I were flying Kingfisher in the near future I would start to panic-get your refunds if possible in motion and book back up.

I booked with them a while ago, as I quite liked the flight last time.

They have now cancelled BOM-BKK and what I was offered as an alternative was unacceptable.

Looking at the recent press I have cancelled and hopefully they stay afloat in time for me to get my in full refund.

On airliners.net, seems the only flights are BOM-LHR and LHR-BOM according to flightradar24.com. Seems all other flights are not operating.

Doesn't look good for Kingfisher (IT).

Also, the IATA found the refunds exceeded the active tickets, meaning Kingfisher defaulted.

Never flown them, but sad to see an airline go bust.

The process may take some time, I would call your credit card company and at least go on record a refund "may" happen and ask IF you able to decline the initial charge. They probably wont allow you to decline the charge but you are on record. I would do it now.

The initial charge was months ago so impossible to decline as it has been paid.

They have said 15 working days until I get the refund. Let's see. I need it to help pay the bill for the more expensive newly booked flight.

Is it the same guy that owns the Force India F1 Team?

Or are they only sponsors?
