BUT!!!! Make sure it has the Green book... check whether any oil in engine too!

Transfer office (unless moved) is on the Ban Tai road, headed toward Haad Rin, near the High Skool, on other side of road to HS...... the transfer should be a few hundred baht.... Not a few thousand, as they tried (without success) on my first bike I brought on KP.

Go ask her if her son still rents motorcycles.She will tell ya how to get to his place.

Green book, is vehicle registration.

Green book, tied into the yearly tax I think, more the bike registration, for transferring name and license plate..... You do need it.... or you'll get a run around with price they want you to pay for transfer...

A current sticker (about 3" X 3 "and should be visible on the bike) should read year 2555... to be current... (I'm not talking about the rear license plate, here, but the sticker does have the license plate number on it) ....

Don't pay anything for a bike unless it has these things.... would be my advice....

You may find some of the bike rental companies want to sell bikes... not sure that a rental bike would be a good idea!???

Perhaps try the Honda Shop & see if they have second hand bikes.... on the main road to the north end of the island, just left as you start up that road.... (near the Hospital....at the east end of the main Tongsala road, traffic light there .... sometimes! can't remember name of hospital) ....
