Does anyone know a reliable place for unlocking or repairing iPhones?

There used to be a good guy, just past MK restaurant inside Tesco Lotus, but he is no longer there.

I am not sure about the unlocking part, but this guy does "Apple" repairs, might be worth asking:

Located just about opposite Sirisin Appliance shop in Chawang... before Tesco. (coming from Maenam)

I noticed a sign at a kiosk near the top of the downward elevator in Big C at the weekend that said something like "Unlock Anything" & was relating to IT appliances.

You can also unlock your iPhone yourself by jailbreaking it.

Not exactly. There are only certain basebands that the software unlock will work on. A hardware unlock covers 95% of basebands and dosent require a jailbreak

You can reinstall a new baseband when you unlock it, that's what I did when I jailbroke my iphone 3GS. I used the ipad baseband.

If you are on an oz contract and it's locked just call them up in oz and they will unlock it ... It's the law I think and three did it for mine. Just need to plug it into iTunes when they text you

No you installed a iPad baseband and now that you have you can't change that baseband ever again. There is no way to install stock firmware as it will just error out as it see's the wrong baseband
