Air Conditioning Service/Refill

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a local company that can clean and refill my condo air conditioning unit?

My unit is quite old and not as cold as it used to be so looks like its time for a refill of the coolant.

Also, any ideas how much it costs to do this?

I am centrally located in Chiang Mai.

Thanks

Usually 500 baht for a service visit and 500 baht for the gas refill. Quite honestly this 500 baht refill charge is expensive. Few years ago I bought the gauges and a freon bottle for a total of less than 2,000 baht. Filled over 15 aircons over the years and there is still gas in the bottle. For sure not worth it for just one aircon, just pointing out the real cost.

I paid 500 Bt. for service and that included a full clean, check and charge for 500 Bt. Most shops are only THai speaking thought. Have a friend, wife, or Condo manager call for you. 087 181 2680 is the number of the guy I used. As a note, I just got a new unit for my home at super cheep, just past the train station and it was 8000 Baht installed with 1 year warrenty

is it a haier? very good price. how many btu?

Supercheap do NOT have aircon for less than 9990 baht.

TheHaier brand one advertised at 7990 installed in their brochure was only if you take them an old air con as trade in to get 4000 off the actual price of 11990.

Just a warning. Been there, done that, made the mistake.

I looked around, and found many things vastly overpriced compared to other stores.

I purchased 2 Air Con there.

9000 BTU 7990 Bt and a 12,000 BTU ar 9900 Bt. Both installed and both with no trade it

Service was spot on and done just as I wanted

Ah ok. Well I was there Friday, and they had no such deal without trade in on Friday. They had 1 Haeier they said we could have for 9900. That was all they had under 10000...on Friday.

I am in the market for a few units, and the Haier 9000 btu offer for 7990 baht was very tempting. The cheapest id seen. Unfortunately, that exact model in store was 4000 more expensive. We asked for their cheapest units and also talked to them about their brochure. The brochure prices on the current brochure in that cheap section are ALL for trade ins.

Maybe you got lucky and the salesperson didn't realise it was trade in only price. Maybe you happened to be in there when they had a few supercheap ones in stock. Or, if they haven't already installed, you may find an engineer asking where his 2 old units are when he comes to install.

I wasted a trip there as I did not ask my wife to translate the brochure offer. But I can say to other people in the market for air con, that they had one unit under 10000 on Friday. 100 percent sure.

I should add, we went to the one by the highway near the bus station. So maybe that is the confusion.
