Miss Tiffany 2012 Kicks off

PATTAYA: -- The Miss Tiffany Universe beauty pageant is returning to Pattaya. This year's pageant is being held under the theme “Freedom Avant-garde”.

The press conference for the transvestite beauty pageant, Miss Tiffany Universe 2012, was held on March 23 at Central World with a special show entitled “Freedom Flash Mob”, which was performed by Tiffany's Show in Pattaya.

Many contestants flocked to submit their applications in the hopes of fulfilling their dreams of becoming a beauty pageant

A committee of the beauty contest, Alisa Panthusak, said the competition now is in its 15th year and has been successful every year, as the public are becoming increasingly more open to transvestites by offering them more opportunities in the society.

She noted that this year's pageant is being held under the theme “Freedom Avant-garde”, which aims to encourage all sides to accept the value and the ability of Thai transvestites.

Many people who have participated in the contest became famous such as Poy Treechada, Film Thayarat, and Sammy Sirapat.

Thirty finalists are secluded to be selected today while the final round will be held on May 4. The winner will represent Thailand to contest in the Miss International Queen 2012 to be hosted by Thailand at the end of this year.
