Can someone please tell me whether there are song teaws going from Pattaya bus station direct to the Jomtien area?

Song taews will go everywhere you want them to go..

Just tell them where you stay..

If you come from the airport, take the bus to Thepprasit rd, or even to Chayapruek..

Yes,the Baht buses will take you anywhere you want to go,just make sure you agree on a price first,

and don't agree to his first offer....haggle.

I was at the bus station a couple of days ago and there was actually a sign up with prices for different destinations. I believe Jomtien was 30 Baht.

Do you know the route? I'd guess it goes down to Beach Road and then the normal route over the hill????

Yes, Beach Road and over the hill. Unfortunately they try to cram 16 people with luggage into one songteaw. An alternative is to hire a motor bike taxi (100 baht???) or charter your own songteaw (300baht???).
