Hi,

Anyone know what this bird is? It looks like a pigeon but smaller. It is part of a pair with the same freckled back of the neck and both frequently visit my condo balcony looking for food. They do look like pigeons but more delicate. The one shown is lame but still gets around.

Spotted Dove. Dove and pigeon are actually synonymous... but the urban ones you are referring to are usually known as Rock Pigeons (or Rock Doves, if you like!).
