A police volunteer known to be active in the government’s anti-narcotics campaign was found bludgeoned to death beside a convenient store in Baan Bang Makahm, Angthong, Samui, recently.

Police identified the victim as Samruam Thonthan, 43, a resident of Baan Bang Makham, and a narcotics suppression volunteer for the 8th police region.

Rescue volunteers summoned to the crime scene found Samruam’s body lying face down with a broken skull. He was wearing gray pants, a black T-shirt, white jacket and leather shoes.

I wonder , was he a brave genuine man or just foolish. Guess we will never know now. RIP.
