Immigration Labour Faces Heat as Small Boat Migrant Crossings Hit 50,000
Machine gunning them in the channel is a solution for stopping the boats, albeit an extreme one. 20 have already died in the channel this year alone so it would be a deterrent and in the (very) long term would save more lives than it takes. This is an invasion and needs to be labelled as such with the appropriate measures taken to repel an invasion. But anyway as that alone would give leftists a meltdown as they would much prefer the illegals to die crossing the channel without intervention so here are some more options: 1. Stop ALL benefits immediately for ALL non British citizens. If they cannot afford to live in the UK they can go home. 2. Detain any and all illegal immigrants in somewhere like Glastonbury inside a big guarded wall awaiting deportation. 3. The royal navy can protect the border if "border force" will not and return the boats to their point of origin. If France do not like it they can stamp their feet and complain, they will not start a war over this. For too long their navy has been escorting illegals to the UK waters. 4. Leave the ECHR and change whatever laws to only allow asylum from culturally compatible cultures such as prior examples of HK and Ukraine. Asylum should be sought in the nearest culturally compatible country. You can call it the "Thailand" policy if you like as it pretty much mirrors theirs. I haven't heard any leftists complain about how Thailand deal with illegal immigrants or overstayers so I presume this kind of system has the leftists implicit approval. -

Tourism Strong Baht and Safety Fears Weigh on Thai Tourism
I was once a tourist coming to Thailand many times. Now I have been a resident for several years. I do have a comfortable income but the decline of the baht to the dollar rate has left me with about 12 percent less of 'disposable' income meaning I have less to spend with the local merchants and other businesses. The current rates certainly has some influence on where holiday travelers choose to go. -

Tourism Strong Baht and Safety Fears Weigh on Thai Tourism
I will always remain confused by the strength of the Thai baht especially over last month when 1. Thailand was at war. 2. Trump's tariffs on Thai exports to US will deeply effect Thai economy & lead to layoffs. Also I think the charge at Thai ATMs of 250 baht on every withdrawal is very high, for Brits that £5.70 per visit at a baht £ rate below the real market one. This will dissuade use of banks & for larger transactions we will use Monzo or Starling bank fee free transactions in larger shops etc
