Looking for Thai language GPS for wife to use when in America. Any folks with experience with this and suggestions?

I don't know in general, but when I bought our Garmin hand held GPS it comes with a bilingual interface, which can be changed back/forth on the system setup menu. I would assume that any Garmin model bought here comes bilingual by default. Note though that units coming from outside would not necessarily have bilingual functionality as it seems to vary with which version of the Garmin operating system is loaded. Certainly the Thailand basemap from ESRI is bilingual, but I am sure a US map would not be, so you'd have a Thai interface/options on a English US map.

I'm looking to purchase it in the US, where we now are. The Garmin units I looked at today don't come with the Thai language option. It supposedly has to be downloaded. I was wondering what the easiest, most intuitive model is. After looking at the Garmin website, they offer a multitude of models and features. Any particular models or features I should look for? The staff at my local retailer were pretty clueless.

Bought a garmin 1350 and sea maps sd card. Do a software and language download for thai. Works in us and thailand. 99 bucks for a reconditioned unit at compusa and 99bucks for the sea sd card for thai maps.

There are several language components to Garmin GPS units: UI (menus), Maps, spoken language directions, POIs, traffic, Junction View, more?

What exactly are you looking to accomplish?

I imagine you could hack the Thai UI onto a unit; I've done that for a US-purchased Garmin, but I'm not sure that U.S.maps, and directions et al., have been created for the Thai language?
