1 Year + 3 Extra Months For Non-imm B

Featured Replies

Hello,

First post here. I've read a lot of great info here for my upcoming move to the LOS from the U.S.

I understand that the Non-Immigrant B is good for 1 year. I have read that if you leave the country and arrive back in Thailand just before the 1 year expiration date, you can get another 3 month stamp as a kind of bonus, making it almost 15 months that you can use the Non-Imm B.

My question is, once you get the stamp for the final 3 months, does that mean you cannot leave the country again? Once you leave again, do you have to arrange another type of visa for your return?

Thanks!

Once your visa expires you can not enter the country again on that visa even if you have a permitted to stay stamp for a longer period. But what you can do is obtain a re entry permit for the time of that permitted to stay stamp at the cost of 1,000 baht for each entry. Or you can obtain a new visa and start over.

You can exit but you must obtain a re-entry permit (available at the airport....cost 1000 baht) this protects the final permission to stay stamp in your passport upon your return.
