Child Settlement Visa Uk

Hi ,

My wife and myself live in the UK and have recently applied to bring her son (My step son) to the UK, We provided all the relevant documentation including a signed sole responsibility document.

My wifes sister and son submitted the application to VFS on the 4th April 12 , on the 20th April both my wifes MUM and sister were contacted by the British Embassy and interviewed on the telephone.

Since the 20th we have not heard anything (About 5 weeks since the original application)

Does anybody know if it takes longer to process a child settlement visa than a normal settlement visa ?

My wife is currently on FLR and has a biometric card , I'm assuming that her son will tag on to this , so everything will need linking up.

Were hoping our son can travel back to the UK with us on the the 26th June .

i wouldnt worry just yet when i applied for 2 stepsons last year same thing happened, they contacted their grandma and we was same as you worrying if anything wrong we got reply about a month or so after they had spoke with her,
