A friend of mine (who is over 50 & British) has a 1-year multiple entry O visa. The visa expires on May 31st. If he does a visa run around/before this date he can get 3 months more. Let's say that will give him till 30th Aug.

Now, he wants to visit Cambodia in June or July. The question is : When he returns, what stamp will they give him on the border ??

My guess is (and it's only a guess) he'll get one month, so if he travels before 30th July, the 30th Aug date will no longer be in play.

If he gets a reentry permit before he departs for Cambodia in Jun or Jul (Single 1000 baht) he will preserve his 30 Aug stay date. Else as said 15 days at land crossing or 30 days by air.

Thought a re-entry permit was only associated with retirement visas etc. Didn't realise it came into play here.

Thanks very much for the info. smile.png
