Manicure And Pedicure Recommendations

Featured Replies

Looking to treat my gf when she gets here, can anyone recommend somewhere nice for her to get her nails done? Not too expensive though, Im not made of money lol

Pretty much any decent spa will do the manicure and pedicure, look to pay between 500-700 all in; but if you are wanting the nail art, then you need to go to a speiclaist nail spa (such as the one called city nail on west side of moat) and then they will charge a lot more of course.

thats common knowledge ok, everyone knows that...dont they

Nice Nails, pedicure & Manicure 380baht. They have 2 branches, Huay Kaew, Thapae Road. One of the first nailshops in CM.

But don't go there at the end of the day, just like I did. They made my toe bleed, due to tiredness, I guess. And the girl did not know what to do and put remover on it...ouch...

There's also 1 at Kad Suan Kaw (Monique, 2 or 3 floor)

Siam Massage and Beauty Salon on the corner of Sridonchai and Changklan road(night bazzar) next to the tailors and traffic lights, pleasant owners and staff and reasonable prices

Chic Nails on Huey Kaew Rd, between the mall and the Shell Station -- closer to the Shell Station. Just across Huey Kaew from the Lemon Tree restaurant. Charge 450 baht for nice manicure, pedicure and color. Also have prices for nail art, acrylic nails and parafin treatments on their sign, but I've never seen them do those services. They use China Glaze color, which is considered a pretty good brand.

The Nice Nails on Chang Klan, just south of Pantip Plaza has nice little whirlpool tubs for soaking your feet, but I moved from that side of town and don't go there any more. I think they charged about the same price as Chic Nails.

I'd suggest going to a "stand alone" nail salon rather than asking for the service in a beauty salon. It's cheaper in a beauty salon, but they often don't have the correct equipment and a limited choice of cheap brands of nail color. The chairs in the nail salons are more comfy and the nail salons have air con, which beauty salons often don't have.

It's very important, James, that you don't expect your honey to do anything with her hands for several hours after application of nail color. I find that it lasts much longer if I can relax for a couple hours after a manicure and just let the nail color harden. Pour her some wine and watch a movie together.

forget the nail colour then James, especially if you havent see the g/f in a while; I am sure wine and a movie last thing on your mind
