An obvious joke, hence she is laughing at it too.

If she is that serious about cleaning up corruption, she should tell big brother to take his medicine, return home and go to jail....

This incessant referencing her brother does not add to the debate and is tedious in the extreme. Stay on topic.

Just ignore the gorilla in the corner.

Are you talking about birdpoo´s wife?cheesy.gif

They are laughing because they are saying "What Does It Say", "I think it means I cannot put my paws on you".

The only serious thing I can say about this is that I'm really digging that logo. It really suits the topic. Where'd they get the designers with brains?

Say it isn't so. PTP & corruption? Who you going to call? Corruption Busters! Led by the Shinawatra family. Now that's funny.

Where does she start ??????????????????????????????????????????//

I think the guy on the right just goosed her. :-)

2 of the 5 don't look very happy about it....wouldn't "stop corruption" be an oxymoron???....and she looks like she's saying "can you believe this???? hahahahah

"The Fox Guarding the Chicken Coop"?

cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif and jack tne ripp[er calls for more police on streets. A laugh a day with this lot. One really wonders how long those who voted for them are going to be fooled

more sound bites and photo ops but no substance

Nepotism?

Yingluck can do no wrong? She can do no right either?

I take it from the 'gorilla/elephant in the room' remarks that these posters are labouring under the delusion that Thailand was corruption free up until Taksin? Or even that .... it escalated under Taksin? Suely not. Anyone remember the massive land scandals surrounding Leekpai, just one example? i could go on.

The fact is that government wrongdoing of any stripe and in any country worldwide is being increasingly reported. We are no longer in the 1950's. And Taksin was perceived as a threat to the status quo, therefore an easier target. Yes he and his family/cohorts are as bent as a 99 baht note, but do not lose sight of the fact that the rest fared no better. Simply stronger patronage ...

You think Abhisit fared no better than this lot, go and have another drink, and I am no Demo., I do believe he was decent, this family are NOT decent in their way of governing. This thread is a joke, and so is the P.M. for launching it. They are thicker than the people who voted them in.

She should start by bringing her brother to face justice

Stop corruption?

Who profited from that, I wonder?

Yah I know not me.

She should start by bringing her brother to face justice

Wouldn't that be cool! The story turns into one of siblings competing for power, cutting each other's throats (among other things) as opposed to the puppet master charade currently being played out. Lure dear brother back and then throw him in the dungeon - now THAT would be entertaining.

All Sectors of Thai Society Urged to Join Forces in Fighting Corruption

BANGKOK:-- Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has urged all sectors of Thai society to join forces in fighting corruption, so that the country would move forward with greater stability.

The call was made at the workshop “Anti-Corruption Strategies,” held at the Government Complex on Chaeng Watthana Road in Bangkok on 18 May 2012, when the Prime Minister also announced the Government’s anti-corruption strategies and its proactive plan against corruption.

Apart from provincial governors, senior officials, and members of the private sector and the media, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations also took part in the gathering.

Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, Niwattumrong Boonsongpaisan, and the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission have been assigned by the Prime Minister to integrate plans from all relevant agencies in the fight against corruption. Minister Niwattumrong said that a working group had been formed to work out the anti-corruption strategies and the proactive plan, which were proposed at the workshop.

The workshop came after the Cabinet on 8 May 2012 approved the strategies and the plan, aimed at raising public awareness of counter-corruption and creating transparency in government agencies.

Speaking at the workshop, Prime Minister Yingluck cited corruption as a major problem resulting in a great loss of national budget. She quoted a study undertaken by the United Nations that the corruption problem has become a threat to economic and social stability. It increases the cost of doing business, leads to the loss of natural resources, excludes the poor for public services, and corrodes public trust in the government sector.

The Prime Minister stressed the need for everyone to eliminate this social ill, which is an obstacle to national development. Aware of the importance of fighting corruption, she said that the Government has set anti-corruption in the public sector as an urgent policy, which seeks to adhere to transparency and good governance, based on universally accepted norms.

According to the proactive plan against corruption to be implemented within one year from now, the Government will launch an awareness-raising campaign by honoring government officials who are honest, or have outstanding achievements in anti-corruption. It will encourage government agencies to propose a “clean initiative” for greater transparency in their performance. This initiative will be spread more widely to help in efforts to fight corruption.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Yingluck also presided over the opening of the Ministry of Justice’s Anti-Corruption War Room, where complaints about corruption are obtained around the clock through the hotline 1206.

What's on every readers lips ??? Why didn't she talk to her police chief family member ( top man)---then if she happened to attend a government meeting have a quiet word with MP's--then try big business--another outlet would be local elected city and town heads, you don't have to be a brain surgeon to understand ..

Does this mean all the corruption before this date is forgiven and given amnesty?

Here is one you can kick it off with PM Yingluck.
