Trumps name on the tower was fine for years, right up until 2016 when he won then all the dems lost their minds. of course Trumps properties are through companies, that goes with out saying, so you are just stating the obvious. you appear to know little of how buying, developing properties work? the banks don't just take the developers word for it, they do their due diligence with regards to valuations, as they did in Trumps case,, they even said they were happy with the deal, got paid, everyone made money and would do business again, that that whole thing was a politically motivated farce! that judgement just made other investors weary to do business in NYC, so much so that the governor or who ever it was had to make a statement reassuring them it wouldn't happen to anyone else, basically admitting in not so many words that it was all about Trump regardless of your opinion, boxing pulls in huge crowds worldwide, creates vast amounts of money for many involved and made multi millionaires of the professional competitors. your comment makes you sound like one of those scretching college c. i notice that your boxing article is from 2020 and the others are also recent, nothing mentioned prior to 2016..wonder why!! back in the 80's Trump was the main host of the boxing events, attended by all the top celebs and high rollers, nobody had complaints. to be honest your whole comment reads like a text book example of the 3 letter acronym we are not allowed to post. it's quite sad really. -

Actually, what I REALLY believe is that.... Out of the Motley Crew running for Prez and Vice Prez...... The ONLY one who has enough brain power to be a decent president of the the USA....is probably VANCE. I would prefer to see him elected as the next Prez of the USA. Not sure how this could legally happen....though.... The thing is.... VANCE has enough education and smarts to be able to reverse his positions, based on something other than pure ideology. I prefer someone to be president who does not just BLUNDER FORWARD on a path based on nothing but....BLIND FAITH. Vance is probably the only one of the Motley Crew who might make a surprisingly decent president..... Just a suspicion..... -

Yes, I did read about the controls on pork due to illness outbreaks and pork is easy to obtain in Thailand so I don't know why anyone would bother to bring it. I plan to bring USA beef ribeye along with cheese. -

You will get very close to the estimate. It may not be 2.0000% like on a term deposit, there will probably be a different number in the second decimal. This is a fixed-term (automatic redemption after about 6 months, they are always a bit flexible about the maturity date) fixed-income (fund holds only a certain set of fixed-income papers, in this case Japanese government bonds, see the fact sheet, they won't buy or sell) foreign (fund holds only Japanese papers) fund. These funds are very safe. They usually hold papers from Qatari banks, big Indonesian banks, big Chinese companies, stuff like that. It's all short-term paper, will mature soon, so very little risk - they are always currency-hedged. Return is usually a bit higher. Risk is usually given as 4/10 (because foreign). In this case, they only hold Japanese government bonds, so even safer, 3/10, (the risk is that the Japanese government will go broke within 6 months), but less return. Return of these funds is always a tiny bit more than a fixed-term deposit, and tax-free. But they always run only a short time (6 or 12 months is typical), and then you have to get active again. For a well-off Thai (minimum investment is typically 500,000) who pays income tax and who would not be able to claim back the withholding tax, this is a way to get a tax-free return even on rather high sums invested.
