Best team one, simple as that.

Can't wait for next season to begin. :)

Hopefully by then that waste of air Berbatov has fuc_ked off, but can't see anyone prepared to spend 30 million of the lazy spineless prick.

city might. :)

He's not worth 30baht, let alone 30 million quid. Honestly, he has the ability to be a greta player, but just totally lacks the right attitude. His comments prior to the game about if it went to penalties, he wouldn't take on just sums him up, no spirit, no bottle - just a selfish mercenary. That pathetic, headed attempt when umarked was worse than some club players. For me he is a disgrace to the shirt. I hope, if he stays next season he proves me wrong.

Well Man U were so bad against Barca it was laughable. So at least we now have a decent comedy show on UBC. Rather like Newcastle the other day as soon as they conceded they surrendered. Another thing both teams have in common since based on the evidence of these recent games the respective managers are tactically clueless and equally useless!

Yes but evidence isn't based on one single game - not at least when you have managed for as long as Sir Alex has.

Picasso painted thousands of pictures. Are you telling me there are no duffs in amongst that lot? Doesn't make him a useless artist though, does it?

berbatov is one of those players who just looks like he doesn't enjoy playing football. there's no joy there, no drive, no emotion, no effort. same with ryan babel for us. they've got the best job in the world that most people would kill to do and they look like they'd rather be anywhere else.

that's just silly, because ferguson clearly is not. he got it wrong last night though.

I am afraid to say that many of us will judge on one game.Would we remember Alf Ramsey if he lost to Germany in 1966?

Man U (like Newcastle) got it all wrong and even the Man U players have turned on the manager:

Spot on. They get away with it when they produce a moment of magic or a goal - the other times they just look like dead wood.

Must admit my heart sank when he came on - nor was i that elated to see Tevez - a lot of hustle but no end product.

Speaking of forwards, if someone told me Rooney wasn't on the pitch last night, i'd almost believe them.

Well, you don't include me in the "us", those that are having a go clearly have little understanding of football.

I think you're clutching at Straws a bit there Fella..

Everyone makes mistakes, some more than most, & Ferguson makes less mistakes than most too..

Wondered how long it would take for one to come out of the woodwork. Ferguson useless ? Whats he won 35 trophies ? After 9 minutes it was all Barca and good luck to them. If anyone saw the interviews with Giggs, Ronalda and Fergsuon they all agreed on one thing Barca were the better team on the night.Hindsight is a wonderful thing and im sure we all have ideas of what went wrong, tactics, players etc but it was ,without Fletcher, the same team that took Arsenal apart. Well done Barca for the style you play hopefully some other clubs will take notice.

Lastly what an awful ground to watch footblall from .if you were behind the goals you were 150 metres from play at the other end. Seating capacity 67,000 nearly 10,000 less than OT. Shouldn't football be played on football grounds not multi purpose stadiums ????

i (almost) feel sorry for rooney though as he's being asked to play a role that isn't his natural game. he'd have been far more effective in the role that ferguson picked giggs to do, operating between the two midfielders and ronaldo up front. he's more energetic than giggs so at least would have hassled the barca middle three a little more.

united effectively started last night with three key players playing out of position. really strange choice from the manager given who barca were without.

anyone who judges any manager on one game is a knobhead who doesn't understand the game.

& that's why, even with the influx of idiotic Posts this morning, there really is no need for the Man Ure people to get in the leats bit wound up even though, if it was my Team ( Bwahahaha ) in their position, i would have been banned from the Fourm by now.. :)

I was trying to think of a silver lining about getting beaten and I suppose the only good thing about not winning the UCL is that we don't have to play in the super cup and the world club championship in Dubai :D and it leaves us free to go for number 19 next season :D without the disraction of playing the extra games.

aye well, only four trophies this season. It's hard being a Utd Fan :)

Who the f... are Man Utd as the reds go marching on and on.

the only silver lining to losing a european cup final is that you actually got to it i guess. actually scratch that, there isn't one. you just pick yourself up and try to do better next season.

Oh and come on Barca :)

Hope they play you of the park...

Yep...

To be fair, Barça would have done the same to any other team too.

not sure i agree with that. think liverpool and chelsea are both better set up to combat a team like barca because they both use specialist defensive midfielders to stop opponents playing in front of their back four. united don't have that, particularly in the absence of fletcher and hargereaves.

Actually i feel surprisingly little pain about the loss. That's the good thing about being beaten fair and square - there are no ifs, buts or maybes. Not like for example when we got knocked out by Porto a few years back. That really hurt because we didn't deserve it. This time we did.

I think also the fact that we won the competition last year, and by a fair dollup of good fortune, helps ease the pain.

Put it another way, i would have been far more gutted had we lost the Premiership this year.
