TR @sunaibkk: In front of Parliament, red leader Jeng Dokjik has announced phone numbers of charter court judges & their family members.

Please allow me to transfer a post of mine from another thread. Tiny minds are so predictable.

Posted Yesterday, 11:58

Well it was nice of Nattawut not to publish the judges' names, addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and names of family members, at least yet, and this time.

But don't worry, the judges have it firmly in the back of their minds that they could be subject to mob intimidation and violence.

Yay, red democracy!

Mick,

I noted your post yesterday and thought, 'yeah, that's kind of their style but it seems to have passed'. You spoke to early and I was sooooo wrong! wink.png

I wonder what would be the reaction in the UK/Aus/USA if a cabinet Minister or Senator decided to give out the phone numbers of senior judges and their families. I can see a massive law suit hopefully being filed times 9 by all the judges and then again by individual members of the families. Or will this disgrace all be put down to being another political crime that will receive amnesty?

Even more astounding is that Red Shirt Leader Yoswaris "Jeng Dokjik" Chuklom is a member of the government as the Yingluck Cabinet-appointed Deputy Secretary-General to the Interior Minister.

Yes, how low can you go to involve families into this mess.

Obviously, very low.

Some might even say despicable.

Can't say surprising, though, when a dozen Red Shirts are MP's and another half dozen or so are key advisors/secretary-generals.

I can just imagine up North, thousands of villagers being herded in front of their village head men being told to sign 'this bit of paper'. Considering the subject matter, those MP's that have signed the petition are displaying an alarming lack of effective intelligence. It seems the reds want to get comfy in front of Government house so that they can stop the yellows moving back in. And so the sacrificial pawns are put in place by Thaksin and his henchmen.

Quite possibly the only way to go as the red shirt supporters up here are becoming increasingly dischuffed with PTP's promises of a land of milk and honey disappearing faster than a driver fleeing the scene.

Thai red-shirt supporters hold pictures of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her brother Thaksin, as they rally in front of the parliament to demand the removal of judges whose order to halt a parliamentary debate on changes to the constitution has sparked fears of a fresh round of political turmoil in Bangkok June 7, 2012.

Will they be giving out Yinglucks' phone number too?

Well he would have access to the entire list of private home numbers, considering his position.

I never even thought of his actual position. Surely that is abuse of position and all information is privileged and restricted. I know two people in the UK, a policeman and a mortgage consultant and neither can run a check on anyone or check their private information without a dam_n good reason. If they are caught breaking the rule they would both lose their respective jobs.

Surely even Yingluck must be shocked at this move.

It's partly why they wanted to make Jatuporn the Deputy Interior Minister.

His background as a Red Shirt Leader out on bail is well known.

Her Cabinet appointed him to the position along with several other Red Shirts (as well as Chalerm's son who also has a well known background).

The also put nearly 20 Red Shirts on the Pheu Thai Party-list for MP's.

She knew full well what they were getting.

Any shock she displays will be completely feigned. :ermm:

This phone numbers disclosure is a breach of privacy, which goes against the Thai tradition of respecting peoples' privacy which goes back to time immemorial. It is a great insult in Thailand to disrespect somebody's privacy like this, especially somebody who has not committed any crime.

More worryingly, it begs the question if this is what redmob are prepared to do in public infront of the cameras, what are they prepared to do behind the scenes and in the shadows.

The same cretins who threw bags of human excrement and litres of blood into Aphisit's private home.

That's right, you can only imagine. How much time have you spent in an Isaan village? Who told you that is how things work? Is it your assumption that Isaan people are unable to think for themselves and are simply sheep who go where they are led? I'd say you have quite an imagination. Pheu Thai is popular because they represent the issues deemed important to the majority, who happen to be the rural poor. If you understood the Thai political mentality, then you would know that the people accept that all politicians are corrupt bastards. The majority has choses Pheu Thai as the corrupt bastards they prefer over all others. You may not like it, but that's the way it is.

Last week with the PAD protesting outside Government House there was an awful lot of police, speeches, but quiet after 8PM. With the UDD out camping I still hear them at 10:25PM and not having gone to look I wonder if we have the same massive police presence.

No need to tell me the current lot is more 'peaceful'. Their leaders have told them to be prepared to fight.

No one should be surprised at Thaksin's thugs publicizing the private details of judges. His goon squad did the exact same thing in Voice of Thaksin magazine on Febuary 15th, 2010, the week before the court was to rule on confiscating his 76 billion baht. Immediately after that ruling of course his goons began a 'protest' that culminated in them engaging in murder, looting, and arson in the heart of the city.

http://2bangkok.com/...tions1002b.html

This new proclamation, like the one from 2010, is a direct threat meant to intimidate the judiciary in to ruling in his favor. It is imperative for the sake of Thailand that this man be stopped.

Maybe because the reds are the ones trying to bully/force thru a bill that will white wash the fugitive Ex-PM of all his crimes, allow him to walk back into the coutnry and never serve a day of his sentence and give him all of his ill-gotten gains back to him... all the while throwing the country deeper and deeper into civil war.

Given the above, i'd take the yellows over the reds any day of the week.

Bully??

they are doing what is legal and will get the bill through the house because they have the most seats in the house, pure and simple, that is democracy, whether you like it or not that is how democracy works.

Bully is accurate.

What they are doing is not how democracy works,

This is..... http://www.thaivisa....k/#entry5367795

RT @RichardBarrow: Red Shirts collecting 20,000 signatures to seek impeachment of judges of Constitution Court http://bit.ly/MaWZmB

AuwkiAhCEAEdeth.jpg

Well here is my point exactly. I bet 1 million baht that the man on the right foreground does not even know what Constitution Court means, who it is staffed by and who it is appointed by (and if he knew the latter he would run, tearing off his red shirt as he went). This is village head men / hench ,men, gathering their locals and saying 'sign this paper now'.

Carra, PhilW, PhiPhiDon, fookhaht, etc etc it seems you will be in an online dictionary soon. I always thought Red Shift was something to do with the doppler effect, it transpires it is now something different.

If I bet against you I will lose, so I don´t.clap2.gif

Amending a law is one thing...... changing it retrospectively to absolve individuals from crimes is quite another.

Naewna Newspaper (article in Thai)

Deputy Secretary-General to the Interior Minister. This is a great job title, and I'm quite sure it carries a healthy stipend, but I am cynically suspicious it's just a jobs-for-the-boys payment over and above his MP salary.

Is there anywhere were job description, salary, required duties, estimated time to perform, etc are publicly stated? If not, why not?

Don't worry about the small details for heavens sake, how wide is his sash, and how many medals does he have, ordinary people need to know these things (or have it shoved in their faces)

Do any of the pro-red (or Anti-Yellow) want to comment on this?

Legal or moral approach to tackling this problem?

To me, this is just another example of intimidation tactics by the Reds...

Reconciliation, my @rse.

The PTP are doing their job, working to get their boss in Dubai back.
