The BIB must have worked overtime to get these bad boys.

It has been a busy week for the BIB as I also saw on the Pattaya news channel today the BIB raided a shop where some of the staff were playing dominos and seized wait for it....40 baht in cash.

1) It does say that they were under investigation for selling drugs to other foreigners so it's not just the 1 gram everyone is saying that is the main "big drug bust" but the fact that they were actually selling drugs here in Thailand.

2) My dad smoked pot up until he died at 84. Actually I had to cut him off at 83 because of his COPD. He started smoking at around 50 and enjoyed it while doing yoga, walking in the parks 5 miles per day and meditating and he was one of the most respected Engineers in the Oil trade back home.

3) It doesn't matter where these people were from. They were caught selling drugs and in possession in LOS and will face charges but as one poster says "I hope they get the death penalty" is a little over board. Maybe a fine, small jail time and deportation might be fair.

4) America's agreement with Thailand is that this offence is punishable my a maximum of 25 years in jail. The first 15 years to be served in Thailand with the remaining 10 in the USA. If that is what a person is charged with here then the USA must oblige by Thai law.

The bottom line here is stay legal in LOS and you should be able to enjoy a great life. If they were caught in Malaysia they would be dead already.

Yet another tiny amount of drugs seized, yet again they are accused of dealing.

But I suppose it looks good in the media, and for their own statistics.

I'm waiting for the day I read, 'Drug Kingpin Arrested,' and when they genuinely catch someone at the top of the food chain.

One gram of ice and a 'cigarette containing a small quantity of Marijuana.'

I'm not defending the idiots that were caught, far from it, total muppets if you ask me. I'd just like to see some proper drug suppression for once. This is merely lip-service.

Sorry to hear this about some fellow Americans. But this is kind of strange, isn't it? Old dudes doing crystal meth? (As opposed to Viagra.) Not usual. Yeah I get it's addictive, but long term addicts wouldn't live that long and why would you start using something like that at an older age?

It's well known that crystal meth can be used as a sex drug. It also gets you high, viagra doesn't!

Drugs can enhance sex a lot. When i still lived in the Netherlands i tried some, it was good. Here i would not try a thing much too risky.
