Jai Dee
GOV HAS ARRANGED FOR 700 BLUE FLAG FOOD STALLS AND WILL INCREASE THE NUMBER TO 1,000 The government has arranged for ready-made food to be sold in its blue flag items campaign, with the aim to alleviate people's burden during this time of high oil prices. Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra yesterday launched the blue flag foods scheme at Government House. The scheme, which provides a set of food to buyers for just 10 baht and is being carried out nationwide, is arranged by the Commerce Ministry's Internal Trade Department. Prime Minister Thaksin said the project is another one of the government's attempts to foster balance in its development of the country under capitalist economy. This scheme would achieve the goal by reducing the expenses and increasing income as well as giving people more career opportunities. 1,000 stalls selling blue-flag priced foods will be set up throughout the country. Currently 700 have already been set up, and these have received good public responses. Plus
TEN BAHT!!! What a rip off! In true enterpreneural spirit the price should be set at 1 baht and then he can open not a measly thousand stalls - millions of them all over the country. Imagine how much money people can save for SMSing their favourite TV shows if they spend only 3 baht a day on their food. This is one of the ideas for eliminating poverty - selling food at a loss.
