I am hoping someone can point me toward a Travel Agent who can handle getting me a Visa for Laos. I will be going to Vientiane in early July and was hoping I'd have one in my passport before I go. I have visited 3 agents near my place, out by KSK and they have no idea how to do that. I have been told in the past that it can be done but, I didn't get the info at the time...rats.

Yes, but it comes in handy if you want to take the direct bus from Udon to Vientianne. As you got to have the visa before they let you omboard.

That is exactly my reasoning. Fly to Udon, bus direct to Vientiane. Thanks for the info.

It may also be worth checking if this can be done at Udon airport, you would have thought so, if they run buses/coaches from the airport

Yeah, I talked to one agent who said you can get the visa at Udon airport but, I am hoping to be able to bop off the plane, get onto the bus and get the embassy/consul early(ish). If there is a line up there could be delays. Having it in hand would be sooooooo nice. But thanks for the info.
