Is there anybody here who have experience on apply for a Thai visa in example UK or another country, by postal service from outside the country you are applying in?

I know that it is no problem to apply for a Thai visa in UK if you use a adress in UK, even you are not a UK citizen. I did that last year, I used a friends adress in UK, sent my passport to him, and he forwarded it to a consulate, no problem

I am currently in Norway, the consulate and Thai embassy in Norway will NOT give multy entry Non-im O visa, no chance. So i have to apply for it somewhere else.

Ofcause i can travle to a consulate in UK. But it would be cheaper and better if it can be done by postal service. It will also be great if the consulate accept to give visa based just on marriage certifficate.

whistling.gif Hull in the U.K. used to do that. I am an American, and I applied for a non immigrant O visa from them while working in Greece...and got it.

Although, in my case, I for my own reasons chose to actually go to Hull on my way back to the U.S. and get my visa in person, I was told by them on the phone that they would take my application, process it, and return it by post to Greece. The only thing they wanted me to know is that if somehow the documents were lost in the mail....that was my resposibility...not theirs.

This however was back in October 2010...and since that time the honorary counsel has retired and there is a new management in Hull.

I understand that now they are not as friendly as they used to be....but they may still accept applications by mail from outside the U.K., as they did in October 2010/

Give them a call and ask them....their number is on their website. Do a Google or Yahoo search on-line to find it.

P.S. I recieved in October 2010 a non immigrant multi entry visa good for 1 year from Hull.

Hull no longer provides such visas for reasons such as visiting friends and do not believe they will accept from outside the UK. They do outline there requirements on there web site downloads.

Marriage cert I would try Cardiff, very friendly and helpful.

I got an O from there with just the marriage cert. Worth enquiring and they have a website, just search for Thai Consulate Cardiff.

Don't forget Norway is not part of the EU

You might consider just getting a single non-o (or get 30 day entry on arrival if you have a return or onward ticket) and then make a trip to Savannaket Laos and get a multiple entry O based upon marriage at the consulate there.

There is also the 60 day extension option to visit your wife (1900 baht at immigration) which can also be done with a 30 day entry.
