Trying to get a police check for my wife to apply for the pr visa for canada....she been to the cop shop twice now and they insisting they need paper from embassy to do this...

We just applying why is this so diffuclt to get?

Can't speak for Canadian Embassy, but for US Embassy there is a document the US Embassy issues that you must bring to the cop shop before they will process the police check. Check with the Canadian Embassy see what their procedure is.

The wife got hers a couple of years ago. She just went and asked without needing to show anything.

This was at the police hq in BKK.

You fill out a form, get finger printed and a picture taken.

She finally got it done well paper submitted anyway up to big boss now....guess they changed the rules recently and want the paper from embassy requesting police clearance once the rest of tge pr application has been approved. ....she is persistant though think they just got tired of her going there. ....

You should get one for yourself too just in case.

I got myself one to show that I was a good boy during my time there just incase anyone in Cda wanted to check.
