TCEB Acting President Thongchai Sridama stated that the TCEB, the Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations (AFECA), and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) are jointly playing host to “Thailand Mice International Forum 2012”. The concept of the event is designed as “Connecting Asia, Connecting Success”, with a view to enhancing and promoting Thailand to be the center of connectivity in the ASEAN region. Pheu Thai calls for graft probes on Abhisit govt

The Nation

BANGKOK: -- The Pheu Thai Party has uncovered in a study on some 175 irrigularities involving the Abhisit Vejjajiva government, party spokesman Prompong Nopparit said while filing his party's report at Government House.

"I want the prime minister to instruct relevant agencies to check into graft violations," he said.

Prompong said the irrigularities happened in connection with the economic revitalisation projects launched in 2009.

Projects plagued by corruption included the Bt5.3 billion procurement supervised by the Office of Vocational Education Commission, he said.

He urged for the Department of Special Investigation, the Public Sector Anti Corruption Commission and the Anti Money Laundering Office to work in concerted efforts to root out corruption.
