Canada Celebration 2012

Featured Replies

Hey my husband and I will be in Chiang Mai over Canada day this year and looking forward to celebrating with some Canadians. Anyone know of a meeting place or any events happening? I read about a Stampede Breakfast in previous years...

Thanks so much!

There was a post similar, that generated some interest when I was new in Chiang Mai, but traveling mostly at that time did not attend (2008).

Haven't heard of an event. Maybe something could be suggested, I'm interested, so count me in.

For those of you who don't know Canada day is the first of July or the eighth.

The way it is set up is kind of weird. It is the first or maybe second Monday of the month but they have the Thanksgiving diner on the Sunday

Never seems to be much interest in Canada Day outside of Canada eh?.........though there's usually a few people gather at Trafalgar Square, London near the Cdn Embassy, for some blueberry pancakes and maple syrup.

huh?

Canada Day is July 1, always. What's up with the 8th? And why are you talking about Thanksgiving when that's in October?
