July 9, 201214 yr I miss Ian Forbes http://www.thaivisa....2548-lanforbes/ Old Ian got the heave ho, eh? That ain't right. I think my favorite poster Dr. Naam is doing time now as well. Makes for a pretty bland orum I can tell you.
July 9, 201214 yr Always find these threads funny because you don't have to read what I have to read and you really don't have any idea what some members get up to that then gets deleted. They always claim total innocence of course, but well, I have read it. So, lets drop the discussion of moderation, cheers.

We should have a "stocks and rotten tomatoes" thread where once a week the worst offender has his/her crime revealed and we can pelt 'em hard. Or not as the case may be.... It would certainly give us all a more rounded view of our fellow posters....and a good and much needed laugh. Edited July 9, 201214 yr by smokie36

Amazing how nasty some people can be and then think its perfectly acceptable. Dunno maybe its that "I am online and anonymous" thing. Anyway, back to the thread, Bambina is one of the members I have missed on the forum the most, she was always incredibly helpful to pet owners, sort of a Sheryl of the Pets forum.

Insults are aimed at a perception of someone really though, more a reflection of the other person's feeling than anything personal to you, no matter what is written. My pet hate is when I write to a company I have been dealing with to complain, as I recently had to regarding some office furniture, in this case I had been chatting to the sales director for a number of years only to be fobbed off with an anonymous letter from the assistant...such things can leave us irate at times. A nice reminder to all treat each other with more consideration. Agree with BambinA...great to see her back...I'm sure there will be many Woofs! Of approval... Edited July 9, 201214 yr by smokie36
July 9, 201214 yr The corn trail worked then, but to keep him here we need beer and sausages. No. Smoking my sausage thanks very much Thaddeus....but you might find a willing volunteer or two. I'm always willing to chip in with beer and my home made onion gravy however. Graaaavy....gimme the lumpy bits every time. It's been confirmed, the Higgs Boson causes the lumps in gravy, my mother was the smart one after all (I knew that anyway) Plus, I mentioned beer and sausages, I didn't say anything about smoking them, either the accepted way of enhancing their taste or the rather rude Frankie Howardesk comment pointing towards fellatio (not a Roman emperor) That did nark me somewhat to be honest, poor joke, poor taste and not becoming you. Twas more a reference to German biergardens. I have only ever attended one, in Battersea Park. Plenty of serving wenches...steiners...and smoked sausage. I wondered what all the fuss was about as we sat at our long tables with the Oompah band sighing gently in the corner. Fast forward three hours and the band is going mental...we are all standing on the table singing and swaying to the music. Not only the best beer...but they know how to enjoy it as well.

July 9, 201214 yr Two wrongs don't make a right. Yes it was a poorly executed piece of drivel barely in reference to the previous post. I'm a bit jaded by it all recently to be honest Thaddeus...maybe a holiday will reignite my spark.

July 10, 201214 yr I wonder what became of TheGent or whatever his last username was (I even forget what was his first)? Also that old Aussie guy with the bad leg and lived in his Mum's shed. Is Elsie still around at all? 12call, Yohan, Bluecat (hehe) Honaluludave, wow this is bringing back memories.
July 10, 201214 yr guy in the shed died - I think heart attack? but as far as I know he wasn't in the shed when he died, I think he actually had a house at that point. He had the avatar with the cat with the orange peel on its head, name escapes me right now
July 10, 201214 yr Guy in the shed was a bit of a grumpy bugger. I think he had a house because his mum died, so he moved out of the shed. hehehe, nearly 9 years as a member, seen some interesting people on TV,.
July 10, 201214 yr I believe you are referring to GungaDin who was also a mod here at one time. Lovely bloke who I used to chat to from time to time.....grumpy yes but with a heart of gold. Sadly missed.

July 10, 201214 yr GungaDin was his reincarnation, Udon the original username. He seemed pretty bitter and cynical, and also is one of the few mods to end up getting banned, RDN and RandomChances being two others (I guess you could also make dr_pat_pong and katabeachbum two recent additions to that list though).
July 10, 201214 yr Was Udon a mod? I don't remember that. I do know of a few others, Admin and Mod that were sent packing. I bet I have been pretty close to the list too
July 10, 201214 yr Is Elsie still around at all? Not seen Elsie for years, her spats with Yorkie (Jayenram sp?) were quite entertaining.
July 10, 201214 yr Old Ian got the heave ho, eh? That ain't right. I don't think it is right either, but only because he was my favourite play thing. Although I admired his zest for life, his attitude, his denigration of people who made him happy, his flagrant and sometime wild opinions were quite extraordinary and deserved contempt. I am not sure that comment should stand because, if it is true that he is not active, then he cannot defend the statement, but how I would have such fun if he did try and defend it. On a separate issue, I do find it comical that people defend those that are banned, we all know the rules, and I know people get deliberately banned for reasons of creedence on other forums, but it is quite easy to stay within levels of cordiality. I have had my spats with both Members and Mods/Admin but would like to think it was kept within the realms of a 'Frank exchange of views', although I know of one member who appears to have kept his angst against me. I agree Bambina is a good returnee, Scouse and Vinny in the Visa's would be a valuable contribution, but the person I would like to see most, Farangsay, went native in Laos I believe.
July 10, 201214 yr Noel and Seonai of course Rest in Peace Noel was my Wing Man on here for a short while, a position he volunteered and relished, but Seonai was a friend.
July 11, 201214 yr Didn't know udon had died, he was a nasty bugger. I am still good friends with some of those that don't post now from back in the day, mainly from the ofcs. Nice to see bambi back around again Totster

July 11, 201214 yr Anger and intolerance are the enemies of correct understanding. Ghandhi If I make a mistake at work, we lose money If I call it wrong during a manufacturing process, someone might get killed If I cross a perceived divide on here, what can they do to me, send me to Vietnam! The best advice I can give, just let it go.
