How Do I Get To Phuket Town By Public Transport From Patong?

Featured Replies

By bus, Departs on the Southern end, drives up the beach road and goes from there to Phuket Town.

Where exactly does it depart from? Close to any landmarks and what is the fare?

I think you should be able to pick it up anywhere on the beach road as there are no bus stops as such. They do not run during the night.

I'm not an expert, but I believe it starts from this stop at the southern end of the beach road:

(that blue coloured truck is the bus)

And I know it stops at this paved area at the bottom of Bangla Road:

I'm sure there would be other stops further north.

Yes, anywhere, just raise your hand to stop it.

@ the OP: I think the beach is quite a good landmark.

It does start where you said. When I was there 2011 it cost 35 baht to Phuket Town. It trvels very slow along the beach road and can can get on anywhere on that road.

That bar in the photo always had very cold beer.
