BANGKOK: -- Red-shirt leaders have cancelled plans to rally their supporters at the Constitution Court Friday while waiting for a court ruling on the constitutionality of charter amendments.

Korkaew Pikulthong, Natthawut Saikua and Jatuporn Promphan, three red-shirt leaders, announced Tuesday that the red-shirt people would not rally at the court but would wait for the ruling at the Big C Lat Phrao, which is the head office of the red-shirt movement.

Earlier, Jatuporn and Natthawut urged red-shirt people to gather outside the court to hear the verdict but later said the rally was not aimed at pressuring the court.

Jatuporn said Tuesday no red shirts would turn up at the court to pressure the judges but they would monitor the verdict reading at Big C Lat Phrao shopping mall.

Jatuporn said he did not expect much from the ruling because in his view, the court had no authority to try the case.

Deputy Agriculture Minister Natthawut said no red shirts would besiege the Constitution Court on Friday.

He said if the court rules against the charter amendments, the red-shirt leader will hold a meeting immediately to map out the next moves for defending democratic principles.

Korkaew said he expected the court would rule in favour of charter amendments. He said he would like to call on all red shirts not to gather at the court because the opponents would hold a rally there.

Have those Red Shirt Leaders consulted with the other Red Shirt Leader who has nearly a half million Red Shirts on their way and who doesn't care what or when the court's ruling is???

I see that Red Shirt Leader Thida is threatening a massive Red Shirt rally if the judges don't resign, no matter what their decision is.

She announced today that 300,000 to 400,000 Red Shirts would march on Bangkok if they don't quit their positions.

Sounds like the grand OK Duke of York and his 10,000 red men.

I'm sure Thaksin can stump up for Dunkin Donuts at Big C. I'm equally sure Arisman and Jatuporn aren't complete strangers there

Sounds like too many Red Shirt Chiefs and not enough Red Shirt Indians. The Chiefs probably looked behind themselves and said, Where are all the Indians? The Chiefs then decided to call off the war dance until later.

Or the when everyone found out the Lat Phrao Big C is having a big sale Friday afternoon the Chiefs couldn't get no one to go encircle the court.

Let's hope they don't decide to burn down Big C Lad Prao if the court rules against them.

As I recall, they tried in 2010
