The shelter is still open, has never been closed, I spoke with Derek and Malee this morning, plenty of lovely dogs off all ages, looking for homes. Give them a call on 0895057021 or email Derek on [email protected] . Webiste is active as its not closed !!.......

thats good news. it is raining now but i will drive there and take a look when it stops. Maybe the day i went all the dogs where already adopted.

I have a friend who is returning to the U.K. who is looking for a home for his two German shepherds. From memory one is 3 years old and pedigree the other is younger and not registered. He is does want them to stay together. PM if this suits.

The local wat will act as an unofficial rescue centre, ie people leave their pets there.

Have taken several dogs over the years but you need to be selective, look for the condition and size of the mother and pick the strongest pups of the litter. Just ask one of the monks before taking and make a small donation. A visit to a vet is then the first order of business for checks and jabs.

Probably no pedigrees but, for me, have been lucky with very good dogs.

he my neighbor and landlord, it was there yesterday do you have the right location. they have moved a few but as you can see many dogs and still in need of funds as Derek funds himself approx 100,000 per month out of a dwindling budget.
