His Majesty treated for rapid heartbeat, leaking blood vessels in brain

BANGKOK: -- His Majesty the King has been treated for rapid heartbeat and small case of leaking blood vessels in the brain, the Royal Household Bureau announced Friday.

The bureau announced that His Majesty had a shaking right hand Thursday evening and a mile irregular heartbeat. So, the team of doctors performed a computer x-ray scan for His Majesty's brain and found that a little amount of blood had seeped out under outer layer of the left side of the brain.

Doctors provided intravenous medicine and the symptom of right hand shaking had stopped.

Court says it has jurisdiction to try charter amendment case

BANGKOK: -- The Constitution Court has defended its jurisdiction to rule on the constitutionality of charter amendment bill.

The court announced that it has power to try and make a ruling whether the amendments would be tantamount to efforts to overthrow the ruling system and Constitution or not.

The court said it has the power to order the halt of amendments if the amendments are deemed efforts to overthrow the ruling system or the Constitution itself.

Court rules that amendments not efforts to overthrow Constitutional Monarchy

BANGKOK: -- The Constitution Court Friday ruled that there were no evidences to prove that the charter amendments were not efforts to overthrow the Constitutional Monarchy.

The court also ruled that the establishment of the constitution drafting assembly was not unconstitutional.

Thai court dismisses complaint against ruling party

BANGKOK, July 13, 2012 (AFP) - Thailand's Constitutional Court Friday dismissed an opposition complaint against the ruling party, which had faced a possible dissolution in the crunch verdict.

"The court dismiss all the petitions," said Nurak Marpraneet, one of eight judges at the Bangkok court, which had been surrounded by security forces in anticipation of the ruling.

Thai court says referendum needed for constitution change

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's Constitutional Court dismissed petitions against the government's proposed constitutional changes on Friday but said a referendum was necessary to decide whether the government could go ahead with them.
