I wish to go to Yangon for 3 days in September. I need your advice on the following:

Could I get a tourist visa from the BKK - Myanmar Consulate on the same day if I pay any extra charges. I am a US citizen. If I can not get the tourist visa on the same day - how long will it take.

I am checking airline prices - is Air Asia the best fare from BKK - RGN - BKK or is it Myanmar Airways.

I think they have recently started an online application process which approves your visa, gives you a number or emailed form which you hand over at the border and heh presto you get visa.

Most embassies need 2 days, one apply, net day pickup. Best way to find out if you call the embassy.
