How many posts must one accrue before credibility is achieved?

How many post are necessary before you attain the right to call troll?

We can all call troll; some of us are accorded the privelige of avoiding it,by our fellows.

I think the successful 'professionals' season their account for at least a few months and aim to accrue a few sozen posts to give them some credibility.

I must admit ... one of my less liked Posters here (no, not you SC)

Sometimes it pays to wonder outside of the Regular Forums.

There are some Gems out there ... go fossicking.

milking cows are very hard to find in Thailand and we are only selling here because we need the room.

Does this house cow have her own bedroom?

Our newly-returned SiameseOracle (returned from whence or whom, I know not) posted this

Theblether gave a pretty fair riposte

but once the deadwoods in Thailand come alive, I imagine SO will get the response that he's looking for

My apologies for being slow in commenting on this one

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/579348-ngo-or-sexpat/

I think the precise aim of the thread was

a) to make sexpats feel good about themselves

B) to tap a rich vein of vitriol towards a new target.

The OP probably rightly guessed that there would be more posters who would identify with the sexpat group than with the NGO group, and few amongst us would be able to keep our prejudices and ill-judged opinions to ourselves

Some members come to us with seemingly years of posting experience behind them.

One of the recycled new bred might be SiameseCurios

OP of many threads and speaks with the perceived experience of a Thai veteran.

Latest is the Do You Love Or Hate Thaiand: The Four Stages Of Culture Shock

Sadly a misspelling in the title is a poor start and not intentional as this was meant to be an authoritative piece.

Don't know how popular the thread will be as it's a statement rather then a question.

But I supposed it took a greater effort then some posts others considered trollish in nature.

I thought that this thread of London Pete's deserved a muted round of applause, and perhaps a few ironic cheers

Clearly a man with a relaxed grip on the English language, kenwhitameenanat, Jimmy? and a different perspective on reality than our less extreme friends.

Anyway, even if he's lost, he'll always find us...

This one made me smile

but he really shouldn't have admitted that it was a wind-up. He'd have been better taking offence and threatening to shoot the bloke next time he saw him on the road. He could've got all the gun-nuts jumping in, and we'd have been off for another four pages, that would have taken us neatly on to why the USA has been ruined by social security...

Anyway, he admitted it was a wind-up, and it's since degenerated to my level of facetious commentary

Top Job!

After 23 pages, he's managed to get his broken record synced with another post to make it seem relevant

Here's a good one; bloke comes on to gloat about his good fortune in having a pleasant and simple life, and people start speculating about his wife, about their own fantasy wife and then start their own gloating.

Only on TV...

Here's a good one; fella comes on- he seems to be criticising some of our members, though it's hard to discern whom, or exactly what for, while taking the advantage of boasting about his own experiences. I would be surprised if any genuine troll could come up with such an incoherent and randomly disjointed post. The man must be a rank amateur, with a poor understanding of his own experience and real life; or perhaps his narrative ability has been severely hampered by the chaps at Boon Rawd

A little late at arriving at this thread, however, IMHO this must be up there with one of the posts of the year, especially in the context in which it was written, coupled with its doubtful if the OPs original language is English,

Old lion who thinks he can still roar...

No messing around, straight to the point,

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/661963-german-tourist-beaten-up-by-angry-bike-driver-in-central-pattaya/

It surely must be time for a Man Of the Quarter, Poster Of The Year thread to be introduced, my personal favourite from years ago,

"I only wanted to rescue her"

As the band plays Waltzing Matilda, you can guess how it ended, no wonder the Thais laugh at us.

This is just poor. He's been around long enough, surely he can do better than this? I don't think it's worth salvaging

I was almost replying to that post...But anything which crossed my mind was not positive..

I have to admit, though, that at the end of the rainy season i tend to indulge in pessimism....1 more month and it's over !!

This chap is one of the most consistently irritating trolls we've had for a long time

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/674550-hierachy-of-thai-society-based-on-social-classracial-lines/

He generally takes an incoherent ranting dig at one or other groups of his fellow posters on racial grounds, but surely the greatest crime against the forum was his ridiculously off-topic OP in the "bar girls - rugby league or union?" thread.

^^^^^,

cut him some slack, I believe he is a split persoanlity, he forgets which user name he is posting under.

His status hasnt as yet been made know to him, so the poor chap doesnt know whether he is , a jek or an ai jek.

I dunno whether I want jok, jerk or waldorf salad.
