Dear All,

I am malaysian and I understand that the Certificate of Single Status can be translated into Thai at the Malaysian Embassy. May I know how long it usually takes for them to do the translation? Are there any approved firms or companies that I can go to in order to get the translation done quicker?

Two referees are required when getting the Certificate of Affirmation to Marry. Do the refereees need to be at the Embassy as well? Can my parents be the referees?

Does my fiance need to be with me at the Embassy when I apply for the Certificate of Affirmation to Marry?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thank you.

BW,

Suspect it would be best to ask your Embassy as most do not do the translations or require any witness (you just write down the names and address for two people who know you in home country). During marriage registration two witness will have to sign papers but they can be anyone.
