Vw Split Screens Wanted Finders Fee Paid/Or Business Partner Required

Hi,

I am in the UK and am looking to import some Split screen VW buses pre 1968

I am looking for a business partner to help with the sourcing / purchasing and paperwork at that end OR just one off finders fees for vehicles I purchase

The buses MUST be VW split screens with 2 side loading cargo doors or split screen pickups

I have been researching for a while and have so far seen 3 buses around the 200,000 baht range.

one is on a thai website

the other 2 have been from tourist friends who have spoken with owners and taken pictures.

what I really need is someone with knowledge on the ground in Thailand who can help make the deals.

I am looking for buses around the 200,000 mark but will pay considerably more for the rarer models.

Initially I would require some photos and an idea of price (finders fee to be negotiated separately)

if everything looks good I would then request more pics (instructions of what I need provided) then we could take it from there.

Ideally I would like to form a relationship with a partner who can help source buses on an ongoing basis (maybe you could pay a finders fee locally) help with the necessary paperwork and get the buses transported to the port where I will have a container waiting to take 2 at a time.

I have the funds and am ready to go but lack the contacts and experience of exporting from thailand.

Why not come over here, as there is nothing better than first hand research. Every link in the chain will make you earn less and be even more vunerable to the excessive corruption in Thailand.

Sorry to sound so negative but I felt it must be said if you want to turn an idea (dream) into reality. Leg work is needed.

Maybe time to repeat the old Thai classic......

If you want to make a small fortune in Thailand, start with a big one!

200,000 is going to buy a bag a scrap, or one that doesn't have the correct paperwork.

If its for export and as long as its not stolen, why does that matter?

Because without the correct paperwork you won't have anything to prove its yours, so you won't be able to export it.

These are also collectors' items in Thailand, where there are a number of VW enthusiasts' clubs, and you'd probably be better looking somewhere where rust wasn't such a potential problem - I've seen a few locally and, as Murf says, 200,000 baht will buy you something that will just be a heap of rust by the time the filler has fallen off.

Internet.... OP is using it and so are Thai's and are well up to speed now on what is desirable and sought after and it's value on a world scale no bargains here. Interesting two threads going at the moment somebody wanting to import thinking it can be done cheaplycoffee1.gif and this one going the other way same result.
