O.k. so I'll tell you the true story.

Met her in a bar in Bangkok where she was working.

She was previously married...had 3 kids by her ex-husband who then ran off and left her with 3 kids to support and no money.

So she was working in that bar.

I was attracted to her..but she knew I had other Thai girlfriends...so when I first asked her she said no....but maybe if I ever cleaned up my act.

She became a friend,,,she was a few years older than some of the other bargirls working there...and she wasn't interested in a "boyfriend" right then....residual hangover from her ex-husband.

She asked me a few times...I was usually staying in a hotel with a pool then...if she could bring her young children to swim in the hotel pool, please?

I let her...usually she brought the kids for a swim...they they all went home. On occasion her older sister would come swimming with them also.

A couple of times one of her kids wasn't well...but she needed to work. So I bought her out of the bar for that night and gave her bus money so she could go home and take care of the sick kid.

Then she asked me...would I mind taking her kids to this local amusement park for a day? Why not, I thought.

She showed up wth her kids and also her sister. Kids had a good time at that park. Then when it was time to leave she got a taxi for her kids and her sister and sent them home.

I still had no clue what she was planning when she flagged down another taxi and told him to go to my hotel...so I was still stunned when she had me pay the taxi driver and entered the hotel with me.

About 18 months later we got married.

That was in 1981....and we're still together.

Shall I scan her degree and post it on here? Never said she was hiso, quite the opposite. Not a rich kid who bought her way into and through uni. Actually got in on a scholarship that she earned. Anyways, certainly didnt fall in love with her because of this but wanted to point out to Ms Mills that not all farangs end up marrying girls from non-educated backgrounds. That yes it is possible for a regular ordinary gal to be attracted to and fall in love with a foreigner. But if you wander around in shorts with holes in them, flip flops and stained t-shirts, I would suggest your chances are slim, unless of course you are Brad Pitt, where in that case, it actually might help.

Now go have a camamille tea, put on some nice relaxing music and do yoga for 2 hours so you dont get too stressed about this news and lose your beauty sleep.
