Pattaya Memorial Hospital

Featured Replies

I've used this hospital a number of times and been pleased with the results. I am, however, concerned now that with all the Russians using it fees are now being hiked unreasonably high making it less attractive for future visits. I have heard stories of all sorts of add-on fees being charged when visiting a doctor as an out-patient (hospital service charges and the like), are these true or do you just pay a doctor fee?

OK, back on topic. Pattaya Memorial Hospital used to be a very good hospital with fair pricing. Unfortunately hospital management decided that they would go for the Eastern European market and once they realized that they had become the only game in town for that quality tourist group their pricing model changed to reflect this monopoly status

I know this to be a fact since I used an ENT from there and accidentally found him again at Pattaya International Hospital at 300 THB less per visit

There is no lack of options for hospitals if you are willing to go just a bit further.

  • Queen Sirikit naval Hospital in Sattahip (military, govt)
  • Phayahthai Hospital in Sri Racha (good medium-priced private hosp)
  • Samitivej Hosp in Sri Racha - a notch up from Phyathai in price but still less than BPH and also a solid place
  • Red Cross (Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hosp) Hospital in Sri Racha (govt)

For very specialized things some of the above may not suffice but for the vast majority of needs they will.
