[Myanmar] Eleven Media Launches New Website

Featured Replies

Eleven Media, one of Burma’s leading news providers, has launched a new English-language website in partnership with Thailand’s Nation Multimedia Group Plc. The new site aims to reach an international audience at a time when there is growing interest in political, economic and social changes in Burma amid reforms inaugurated last year. Eleven Media has also recently expressed interest in establishing a daily newspaper and a television station. The launch of the new website was chosen to coincide with the 24th anniversary of nationwide pro-democracy protests on Aug. 8, 1988.
