These sites are "up" but blocked for the past two days.

Reports on internet forum confirm my experience is not unique.

Will be calling customer service(ha!) on Monday for explanation...

pb? eztv? tpb?...

Couldn't you guys give full names and/or Internet adresses so that others can test too?

Really no idea what pb or tpb mean, and Google will not help with 2 or 3 letters only.

Sorry I have to ask, what grounds do you have for a complaint, basically they are blocking a site that carries out illegal activities? I left the supplier for the exact same reason about 12 months ago, they weren't blocking it but throttling any torrents I was downloading.

eztv = eztv.it,

pb, or tpb = thepiratebay.org

Surprised you took the trouble to respond. tongue.png

And to the poster above you, if you have to ask what those sites are, it obviously doesn't affect you, so why worry?

The reason I responded is to try and stop you p*%%ing in the wind by calling 3BB and gently suggesting you move supplier, but hey, up to you.

Odds are they'll be back online by 10am Tuesday morning. whistling.gif

3BB can get bad on long weekends for stuff like this. Everybody takes the weekend off, including the guys who keep it working....

No need to change suppliers, they are normally friendly. 1MB+ is the norm for me.

Thanks Phil!

IsoHunt falls under my radar so often, but it shouldn't, as it's a fine site and Canadian also.

Veering wildly off-topic, I am embarrassed by Canada's measly medal haul so far in these Olympics. Shocking......

A quick google for pirate bay came up with http://unblockedpiratebay.com/ - seems to work fine. I don't think it's a very good torrent site anyway, I much prefer http://www.isohunt.com/.

i just tried isohunt but it wants you do install software to download stuff which i don't trust. on tpb and eztv you simply click the download button and it goes straight to bit torrent, no install necessary

is there a way to do that on isohunt?

http://unblockedpiratebay.com/ looks good until you click a link then it want you to install stuff with all kinds of adware

thx

news flash, eztv has just come back for me

i love you eztv, don't ever leave me again, i promise not to stray to those adware sites, even if they do look young and sexy

re isohunt: deselect the little check box directly under the "download .torrent" link and it will download the .torrent instead of that software.

tpb and eztv working no problem for me...3bb Lamphun.

but, i can't access some sites...getting a "webpage not available" ...they are being "interrupted" before even really trying to go to load them. java.com working for 3bb'ers?

java.com working for 3bb'ers?

Can get to it with 3BB Chiang Mai, but still not the other two sites in the OP.

hmm... strange... wonder if it's a DNS thing?...server updating or some such?...

here tpb and eztv loading quick and fine..

what exactly is the error? is it saying blocked by mict? or getting a similar issue to my java.com error?

Just time's out and then below (FF), which is the standard message when a site is not responding or data not received within a time limit. With Google Chrome it says No Data Received (Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.).

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.

If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

//edit - this suggests a routing problem though can not rule out DNS entirely.

Posted this on another thread yesterday. I get the same result with Pirate Bay. What I cannot understand is why other people can open the site using other internet providers in Thailand unless their IP is routed differently. If you "Google 80.67.4.134 timed out" you will see lots of people having the same issues going back to May of this year and this blockage appears to come from Sweden if this is correct http://www.whoisstuf...ain=80.67.4.134

Eztv also u/l to kat.ph I was getting 6.4mb download speeds last night.... that was off a 7mb TOT line tho.

Sent from Android, please excuse errors in type or judgement.

So anyone speak to 3BBB? I used a proxy server to open eztv started the downloads then switched back to my normal IP address. Downloads continued at a better speed. Ok got around it but <deleted> do 3bbb want to loose all their business. I hear ToT is still able to access eztv....

As I posted earlier, I"m betting all will be back to normal by 10am tomorrow..

I wonder if they did it deliberately, before setting off on their holiday weekend. Block a significant but not wide-spread category so the rest is able to tick along with lots of headroom. There were/are probably no network guys there at all!
