Tree Felling Season

Featured Replies

Driving back from the airport with a genial taxi driver I asked the question. Why have they chopped down all the trees at the airport? After bemoaning the lack of shade for his limo, he suggested that it was security. The CCTV can now see everything in the car park. I suggested that AOT might do well in getting more cameras. He agreed.

I asked him about the large tree cutting between Surin and Kamala. He apologized that it was not his patch.

We then got onto unscrupulous taxi drivers and inflated fares. When he got to my place he comforted me with the opinion that my place was not in an area dominated by such operators. He agreed that THB800 to HKT was far too much. I took his card.

I agree ,If you do find a good taxi driver then get his card and give him your business but i thought the post was to be about tree felling . They also remove trees at airports in an attempt to lessen habitat for birds which have a habit of getting into the path of planes , so it is not only for security .

Why would you ask a taxi driver the reason trees have been cut down at the airport or anywhere else

Try the airport authorities or local govt if you want a accurate answer
