It just goes to show that guys like Beano who has, obviously, been here a long time and can still be treated with the lowest respect with close neighbours.

that's because he acted well outside of Thai protocol.

He confronted, complained about and criticised a Thai publically (in the Thai's mind), while the Thai was with his friends (not that that would have mattered much to the Thai's immediate reaction.)

Given that he did the above, it is hard to believe that he has been here a long time.

I'm guessing you're not very big and a bit of a wimp. So. This is what you do. Get a hold of the film 'Trainspotting' and imitate the character 'Begby'. I assure you this works. Hope this helps.

the imprezas turbo bearings are smeared by the engines oil pump, after being driven hard the turbo literally glows white hot, if you dont run the engine for a short period to allow it to cool down the bearings will melt and a new turbo will be needed, however if you inform your neighbor that the engine just needs to be run at just over idle speed for a couple of minutes or maybe inform him of a small device called a turbo timer that does this automatically after you turn the ignition off, it may ease the tension for all involved

An attack can come at any point anyhow from any angle, so no use worrying about it.

If it serves as a reminder that your not prepared then learn something from it.

Really this is quite typical in condo/apartment situations all over the world. When people live so closely together theres always 1 who goes against the grain. Perhaps he thought you wanted to go have a game of baseball and go in his car?

Meet with him tomorrow, let him apologise and then when hands have been shaken calmly ask your wife to ask him to explain exactly why he behaved like he did maintaining eye contact and watch him squirm. If he tries to turn it round to make out it was your fault which will undoubtably do ask him why he apologised if it wasnt his fault. Make sure you smile and look friendly while this happens. He wont dare come near you again and all it would have taken is a few choice words.

NO!

Seriously, why ask someone to look for more trouble. The apology is enough. What you are recommending is to provoke someone with a bad temper. Not too wise.
