Good All Rounder 2 Din Stereo/Dvd.Mp3/Ipod

Featured Replies

Hi All,

So we have a car on order, a Honda Freed. It comes with factory fitted regular CD/MP3 2 DIN stereo, so I will want to swap it for something a bit more capable.

I yesterday after reading some posts on this forum, decided to get a seperate SatNav rather than integrated into the stereo. I got what I believe was a good deal. I bought the Garmin Nuvi 2575 with Dash Cam Recorder, and a rear camera input for reversing. Very nice little unit, with all the bits I need on it.

So I don't need a rear camera input on my stereo, and I dont need satnav built in. I would like to have a unit with:-

Ipod input/control

Good Bluetooth Phone Call capabilities and performance

DVD Player

Really good screen

Good User Interface

USB input, preferably with the ability to play an array of file types

Video output - so I may link it to a couple of headrest mounted screens for the second row, or an overhead flip down screen.

Price not so much an issue, but I want to avoid paying for bits I dont need (Like the satnav)

Does anyone have any experience with current 2 din units available, and offer some advice on which brands/model to go for. Or not to go for.

Also, any tips on the rear screens?

Thanks in advance for any and all input

Phil
