Buying And Selling. West Too East?

Recommended Posts

I have traveled to Thailand before and noticed how cheap things over there are. many items would sell for much more in the west. in my case, Canada.

I am going back to Thailand. My question is what would sell more in THAILAND that I could bring over from CANADA?

my guess of an item would be second hand Iphones.

lets here some more?

Blocked telephones in the west are as good as paper-weights and very cheap, may be even free, those same phones would NOT be blocked in the East.

Do you mean phones that are locked into one company. If so, they can be unlocked in a few seconds.

Being also Canadian, you could sell "Native Indian" carvings, pictures etc. to many high society places like Hotels, Banks etc.

If you're coming to Pattaya bring me some smoked oysters and I'll buy then. lol

A good gift but not fore sales purpose is vacuum packed smoked salmon.

I doubt it unless they are in near perfect condition and you will accept monthly payments (plan on numerous defaults). Many Thai's buy their high price smartphones, like iPhones or Samsung S3s, on monthly installments. And for those who can pay outright cash, they are HiSo enough they wouldn't want to buy second hand.

For some reason the second part of my post didn't publish (the above) is for the Expat community.

In terms of cell phones keep in mind Bell & Rogers still have many models that don't have a SIM card - no idea if they are as easy to unlock as SIM card phones.

What Williaminbkk said about iTunes cards is a great one. Here you pay $75.00 for a $25.00 card.

If you can bring me a HOT slim native girl as well I wouldn't be so sad. :)
