Prepaid Mifi Or Adsl Internet For Ploenchit Bkk Apartment

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 1 br apartment in Bnagkok that I am renting out.

It is not rented out all the time.

I just lost a rental client because I can not offer internet.

All ADSL services seem to require 1 year subscriptions and lots of paperwork. I am currently in Europe and not sure if I can arrange things from here. Also costly to have it running when no one in the flat. Unless there is some super cheap promotion that I can pay up up for a year in advance(!?)

If not I would like to pay one of the guys that works in the reception to go to the mall for me and buy a mifi unit or similar so that whenever someone rents the flat they can just go buy a prepaid card for a month or such and have internet in the flat. I'll just knock it off the rent for them.

Btw, the flat is on Ruam Rudee soi 2, just behind All seasons place if someone is looking for a place to rent. Will post it at the correct place at TV as well. 20 k per month.

Thanks guys,

Johan

I doubt that a mobile broadband connection will be adequate for any but the most minimal of requirements, and present all sorts of hassles re: prepaid cards, SIMs, fair-use limits, reimbursements, etc.

A basic True Online 7 Mbps/512 Kbps ADSL line is 599 baht/month (exclusive of VAT).
