Upload Speed In Pattaya

Featured Replies

Dear readers,

I am trying to find out if there is an ISP in Pattaya who gives more then 512/1Mb UPLOAD speed.

On their websites they show higher, but when info is ask I get the standard Thai answer "Can Not Do".

So, please, anybody living in Pattaya who has a higher Upload speed then 1Mb, please reply or PM me,

with which ISP and if you have no problem with it also cost and stability.

Currently I have TOT 9Mb down and 1Mb upload, which is very stable for me.

Thank you, Ron

Generally ADSL doesn't support upload speeds much higher than 1Mbps. I think there are both technical and commercial reasons for that.

You need to look at another technology, eg SDSL,VDSL, FTTH or DOCSIS if you want a better uplink. Each of these are available in Thailand in some areas but you will need to do quite a bit of research to get comprehensive and reliable info about what is and/or soon will be available at a specific address.

CAT Hi-NET 2/2 Mb G.SHDSL THB2250

CAT On-NET 12/2 Mb Fibre THB4200

True DOCSIS 20/2 Mb Cable THB1299

True DOCSIS 50/5 Mb Cable THB2799
