Help. Samsung Gt S5230 Messages Will Not Stop

Featured Replies

The other day a young lady sent me some photos by SMS. 3 different photos. I received 2 with no problem. The third failed to download initially but after some attempts it did download.

The problem is that these messages do not stop. In 3 days i have had nearly 20 notifications that I have a new message yet it is the same 3 photos coming in.

The lady in question says she sent them once. Her phone balance is not going down to show she has send on repeat (for example) or that she is sending them to me manually repeatedly. I have been with her on a few of the times these messages come through and she has not sat there and sent them.

My balance is not going down either to say I am logged on somehow to get them.

I am with AIS.

Any ideas what is happening? Or how to stop these messages? Is it her phone, my phone, AIS?

Thanks.

Maybe turn off the phone, remove the battery and SIM, reinsert the SIM, batery and re-start the phone. Maybe ask the young lady to do the same.

I'm guessing these are MMSes rather than SMSes? SMSes are text, MMSes can include video, audio, images. Typically MMSes utilize a GSM data connection.

You could also call 1175 and ask the very nice, very helpful English speaking staff on the help desk. whistling.gif

I'd like to say thanks for that idea. It worked great.

I waited before posting back to see the results and no repeat MMS for 36 hours now!! thumbsup.gif
