What Programmes Do I Need To Set Up My Dreambox518S ?

Okay, I have the dreambox and cables set so I can use flashwizard.

What programmes / firmware do I need to download to get the dreambox 518S to work and see satellites here in Thailand? I am working with a dreambox with no firmware available.

One programme i did get was not for this area and would not let me get to the 'extras' to find the satellites in this region.

I have looked at the web and am coming up against too many sites in Thai to understand what I am looking at.

I did have mgcamd but that was faulty and is why I am looking for some way to set this box up.

What type of dish do you use, and (if fixed) to what satellite is it aimed?

You don't need specific firmware to "see" Asian satellites, although it is handy if the satellites with their transponders are pre-programmed!

On the other hand, manually adding a satellite/ transponders and doing a scan is a good learning experience.

Mgcamd is a conditional acces module, not needed to watch fta channels.
