Chumpon

Featured Replies

Hi,it's my 1st time posting on

Here so sorry if I'm on the wrong topic but can anyone tell me if there are bars and nightlife in chumpon ? Thanks

It's got a small but vibrant backpacker scene for those who want a place off the well beaten tourist path, but nothing that would make it a place to travel to specifically for the nightlife. If you want uncrowded relaxing beaches though, it's the place.

A few years ago but only 2 bar/restaurants that cater for those on the way to Koh Tao, loads of karokes though...

I only visit the FARANG BAR when I pass by chumphon. They also have some good western and thai food there, and some cheap but OK rooms.

The beaches there look nice but very deserted. Any idea why?
