Well we have now a full house... and looking forward to a great night.

To help try and organize such a crowd - the following is a small guideline that may help to smooth things

Finding Checkinn99

We are a hole in the wall nightclub on Sukhumvit Rd between Soi 5 & 7. Directly Opposite Landmark

Hotel.

Parking is all around us – Foodland 50 metres into Soi 5 on the left side has upstairs parking at 50THB /

hour. The Landmark across the road also has parking / hour.

Easiest is to use the BTS Nana Exit 1. Walk back over Soi 7 and Checkinn99 is about 2/3 towards Soi 5..

There will be a partially obscured black & white Checinn99 sign and a red cabaret Bar sign above the

footpath. If that fails – look for the market stall with the largest collection of sex toys and Viagra in

Bangkok and hang a right. Seriously you will see the blue and yellow balloons. If you are coming from

Soi5 or Gullivers..turn left at the corner food market and we are just 25 metres from the corner of Soi5.

Registration

We will have a table with a receptionist at the front alley entrance on the footpath itself– mainly to

ensure only Thai visa party goers are entering. As the venue is very popular and we will not have been

able to broadcast fully the news of the private party - we expect some disappointment from some of our

regulars.

Please identify yourself and your guest on the list [your guest will be referred to as "Your Thai Visa ID"

+1] the ticket will be numbered in the same sequence as Raro's last list.. Try to remember your number

to help the receptionist find your name. You will be given a temporary entry sticker and then please

move into the club down the short alley. This alley will also be for smokers – so you will need to move

quickly and hold your breath!

Once inside the front door there will be another table for selling tickets.. Please pay 200 Baht for each

person entering. You will be given a wearable ticket with your name on it. On the back of the ticket

there will be three small white boxes we will punch holes in exchange for each bottle of the sponsors

beer. Once you have used your three beer credits – you will be asked to pay 50Baht each can / bottle.

For Carlsberg we will commence with cans and hard plastic cups – moving to bottles during the evening.

You may order any other no beer drinks from the bar and please we will only accept cash for the evening (No

credit cards – but there is an ATM just outside the door) no running tabs – all drinks paid for at time of

ordering.

Ordering drinks

We will be very crowded during the evening. so expect some delays and please be patient.

Beer will be served from the two red tables near the bar…. Give your ticket to the bartender and state

how many beers 1, 2 or 3 you want at one time and the bartender will punch a hole through the squares

on your entry ticket. No more free beers when the 3 squares are all punched. After that you will have to

buy beer (cash) at 50Baht Each, still get beer at the red tables near the bar.

Only beer provided by the sponsors will be served during the evening - all other drinks will be sold at

normal price. (cash)

We will make part of the bar for non- beer drink order taking only – please keep that area clear for those

getting drink orders. Some waiters will be in the crowd – but best and quicker to make your order at the

bar. We will mark on the floor no standing areas cross hatched tape so that we will have room to walk

through the bar and get to exits and toilets. Please keep the marked area free of people and make room

for people trying to get through..

We will have menu cards for non-beer drinks…. Please have cash ready when your order is given to you.

No credit cards please. We will not be serving meals during the night.

We will be serving fun-spirit shots during the night 100 baht each.. We ask that once the shot is taken – the

glass is returned to the tray We will also be serving our new Angry Apples Cider.. .made in Thailand and it is a great.

Food

A buffet will be available from 6pm .. For those coming early – please feel free to commence straight away and make

room for others later. We will position a large part of the buffet near the kitchen the other part near the

upstairs bar. We have a supply of china hard plastic and paper plates and some finger food in paper cones (by necessity….)

later in the evening we will move to more heavier drinking food but otherwise it will be more buffet

style. We wont be serving our normal menu food. we will do our best to get extra finger / filler food out during the

evening in addition to the normal buffet.

Party Fun

Count down… there will be a countdown at 10pm… before that time there will be some fun handouts

please wait till 10pm before making use of them… please hold off despite the temptation.

We will be having lucky draws during the night – please listen to your number called – prizes will be

given out all night..

Rapid Add Numbers = there will be prizes for the first two people whose ticket numbers add up exactly

to the rapid add numbers announced!!! This will require you to quickly mix and try and find someone whose ticket

number adds up with yours to the rapid add number…this has several combinations so the winners are

the first for that combination during the evening we will be calling out. A loud Bingo type yell would be OK to declare yourselves.

Band

The band will perform 5 sets during the night… some will be for all to be dancing but most others will be cabaret sets –

please wait for the signal from the band if you wish to dance. We have plenty of movie clips of the band

on you-tube under checkinn99 or our Youtube channel LastnightinBangkok please don’t take your own movie clips of the band unless you ask the band first.

Frankly we are OK with still pictures – but please consider the great clips we have on you-tube and not take

them of the band during their performance. Please also be discrete with photos of other TVs as many value their privacy.. if in doubt ask.

Basement Lounge – we will be very very crowded. Please make use of this area if you want somewhere

quieter…but we can pipe live CCTV of the band. Please Make use of this area… we will have a

surprise down there also.

Staff and Lady Drinks

Trying to be a subtle as possible -please tip if you think the service is good -and there will be plenty of

opportunities to get up and dance and have fun - but there are absolutely no lady drinks or bar-fines.

Timing... the band will aim to finish about 1.30am - if the place is thumping we will extend slightly. After

2am we close (the front cage door will be lowered with or without punters still inside after which it will be deemed a private venue closed to the public)...

Other Surprises... I think we have shaken-up the Thai Visa management with our proposed surprises..

please go with the flow... Chatham house rules please.

House Magician... if you can see our wonderful House magician Bilou (he will be the suave Frenchman in

the black bowler hat) - get him to perform close up illusions and magic and he will amaze you. but don't

get in a card game with him involving any sort of wager! you are warned!

Fire Exits and or power failure

We have two fire exits - the main door coming in... and the back door that exits into the rear alley near

the ladies toilet- please familiarize yourself with these at all times.. If you are in the basement -

emergency lights will activate. In the event of any incident also upstairs - emergency lighting will activate

- please wait for our staff instructions.

We identified the place by his presence when I first went there. Check Inn is quite accommodating, which I never would have guessed when I walked by there so many times on the way home from work.

It was a great evening,.... I had to leave early to attend a friend's birthday party but it was fantastic, I liked the music and the dark Beer Lao, plus the food was great. I will definitely sign up for the Dec. party... LOL the only kink was that my tag never showed up, but they made me an impromptu one so worked out.... I was quite soused after a few Beer Lao dark...
