As a resident of Sukhothai living and working in this province I have first hand views on this topic.

I was here last year when we had the awful floods that decimated this province, and once again what the government promised it's residents they have failed to deliver. Many residents here in Sukhothai have spoken about the cracks appearing in the walls that has been seeping water for a few months now. I was in the night market when the floods hit and can say it was quite terrifying as it happened quite late at night, and we had no chance of getting away such was the deluge of water. The city is under nearly a metre of water in certain areas and my home and many others face a nervous wait on what next is going to happen.

We are hearing many stories that everything is under control, but I can assure you it's not. The Thai army have been drafted in to help those who are in need the most. Transport is coming to a stop due to the high rise and volume of water that keeps coming into the province, and some areas are no go zones. But I can say hand on heart, the residents and the community of Sukhothaiare all out there on the streets delivering food, water and other amenities to those who are less fortunate than ourselves and I salute them and I am very proud to live in this province and see how Thai people come together when one disaster strikes after another.

Is their any news on this site for warnings concerning Sukhothai as every website I go on hardly gives a mention to the plightSukhothai faces these next few days ( Out of sight out of mind ) ?

Kapum.
